About us

African Lumber Traders, situated in Cape Town, sells a select variety of timber that we source from all corners of the world. With more than 40 years’ combined experience trading timber, we have an intimate knowledge of the lumber industry in the Western Cape. We’re able to assist you in choosing the wood that’s right for your needs. Our products include:

• Exotic timbers from Africa and the rest of the world
• South African timbers, from Pine and Saligna, to beautiful wood from Knysna
• A range of moulded decking and tongue-and-groove flooring

We’re happy to deliver timber to your workshop door, at a small fee to cover our costs.

African Lumber Traders complies with all CITES (Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) regulations, which control the trade of endangered species to prevent unsustainable or illegal exploitation.

Our showroom and warehouse is situated in Parow Industria, Cape Town.
